Anti Ragging


As defined by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India:
“Ragging is any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of Ateasing , treating or handling with rudeness to any student , indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which cause or likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely effect the psyche of a fresher or a junior student."


Bengal school of Technology & Management has taken the following actions to completely curb ragging in Institute premises:

  • Formation of Committees and Squads: Complying with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the Institute has formed the following Anti-ragging committees and squads for overseeing the implementation of the provisions of the verdict with immediate effect:
    • In compliance of the 2nd Amendment in UGC Regulations, it is compulsory for every student of BSTM  and their parents to submit an online undertaking every academic year at
